What Is CO₂ and How Is It Supplied for Consumer and Industrial Applications?

Carbon dioxide (CO₂ is supplied in different gas grades and package formats. For consumer and compact-product programs, it may be supplied in cartridges or small cylinders; industrial users may require larger cylinders or another planned supply route. The correct choice depends on intended use, gas specification, interface, quantity, destination and required records.
Definition and scope
CO₂ is a colorless, nonflammable gas. In contained supply systems it may be stored under pressure, and released gas can displace oxygen in a poorly ventilated area. A buyer therefore needs to evaluate both the gas requirement and the container or delivery system.
“CO₂ product” can describe very different commercial routes: a single-use cartridge, a compact cylinder, a refill or exchange program, or industrial supply. The gas name alone does not define suitability.
